Body Dysmorphia

As a psychologist, I help individuals struggling with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and distorted body image find clarity, confidence, and self-acceptance. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we work to understand and transform the thought patterns and behaviors that fuel negative body perceptions. Using CBT, we identify unrealistic self-judgments and develop healthier ways of viewing your appearance and self-worth. With ACT, I guide you in building mindfulness, compassion, and acceptance—allowing you to focus less on your perceived flaws and more on what truly matters to you.

Whether you struggle with obsessive checking, comparing, or avoiding social situations, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing can begin. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel at peace in your body, strengthen your emotional resilience, and foster a sense of wholeness that’s not defined by outward appearance.
