Perfectionism

Perfectionism is exhausting in a way that is hard to explain to people who haven't lived it. On the outside, you may look accomplished and capable. On the inside, there is a relentless inner critic that moves the goalposts the moment you get close and turns mistakes into evidence of fundamental inadequacy.
At its core, perfectionism is not about high standards. It is about fear. Fear of failure, of judgment, of being truly seen and found wanting. And underneath that fear is often a belief formed long before we could question it, that our worth is conditional on our performance.
As a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, I draw on Brené Brown's research on shame, vulnerability, and wholehearted living alongside CBT, Mindful Self-Compassion, and ACT to help loosen perfectionism's grip from the inside out. We will examine the beliefs fueling your inner critic, learn to meet your struggles with genuine kindness, and reconnect with what actually matters to you rather than living in fear of falling short.
